A Passage in Time is a 1991 compilation of the band Dead Can Dance. Originally released only in North America on October 21, 1991, it was later remastered and given a global release in 1998.
As the title suggests, this album was "a passage in time" to let the U.S. audience catch up with the band's previous albums, via selected songs.
The content comes predominantly from their two then-latest 4th and 5th albums, with no track from the 1st album, one from the 2nd, and two from the 3rd. Additionally, two tracks were added to this compilation, "Bird" and "Spirit", which have been recorded in Into the Labyrinth double vinyl LP's version.
